What are Skills Bootcamps?

Funded by the UK Government Department for Education and free of charge to you, the Skills Bootcamps are Full-Time 12 week programs help to bridge the skills gap in the Tech industry. Whether you're aiming for a career change or advancement, the valuable technical skills acquired will boost your knowledge and hands-on capability setting you on a path to success. Application process follows the below steps:

Check your Eligibility

Complete the eligibility form to see if you're able to apply for a Le Wagon UK Government Funded Skills Bootcamp.

If you're eligible, you'll receive an email with the next steps to begin your application.

Technical Quiz

Complete your Online Web Development or Data Analytics Technical Quiz within 5 days.

This is designed for beginners and those new to coding to assess problem-solving, aptitude, logical thinking skills and readiness for a Bootcamp.

CV & Cover Letter

Your Quiz will be evaluated and if successful, you'll be invited to upload a copy of your CV and Cover Letter detailing your experience, motivations and interest in Tech.

After your CV & Cover Letter is reviewed, you'll receive an invitation to confirm your application and schedule your interview.

Application Outcome

Complete your 30 min video interview to discuss your motivations and tech career goals with the Admissions team.

Your application will be reviewed and you'll find out if you've been accepted within 24-48 hours! The team will then share the paperwork to confirm your space.

If you meet the following criteria, you may qualify for a UK Government Funded Skills Bootcamps.

You are 19 years old or above

You have the right to live and work in the UK without visa restrictions

You live in England, and have lived in the UK, EU or EEA for at least 3 years prior to the course start date

You are either in work, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work after a break (therefore not currently in education)

You are available to study for 12 weeks Full-Time from Monday - Friday, 9.00am - 6.00pm each day

Application, Admissions Process & Eligibility Criteria

To be eligible, all Skills Bootcamp Applicants must meet the following criteria:

19 years old or above

Have the right to live and work in the UK

Live in England, and have lived in the UK, EU or EEA for at least 3 years prior to course start

This training is for adults who are either in work, self-employed, unemployed or returning to work after a break

Be available to participate in the 12 Week Full-Time Online Bootcamps from Monday 24th March - Friday 13th June 2025.

Submit the eligibility form on this page to begin your Online application.

Online Technical Quiz: (approximately 30 minutes) this is designed for beginners and those new to coding to assess your general level of tech knowledge, problem-solving, aptitude, and logical thinking skills.

CV & Cover Letter Submission: please include a doc or pdf copy and share a cover letter with a few paragraphs detailing your work or academic background, interest in tech, reasons for learning to code and why you feel Le Wagon can help you reach these goals.

Informal, non-technical 30 minute interview with one of the Le Wagon Admissions team, including a soft skills interview focusing on motivation, commitment, curiosity to learn, and general interest in coding and a future in the Tech world.

Applications are reviewed and you'll receive news about the outcome within 24-48 hours your Admissions interview

The Online Full-Time cohort scheduled to being on 24th March 2025 is the last planned UK Government Funded Skills Bootcamp programme at Le Wagon.

The alternative options are not applicable for any form of Department for Education funding, however there are plenty of financing options available to spread the cost of tuition fees!
