Free • 100% Online • For beginners • Live Coaching

You now find yourself at home with hours of free time and are ready to start learning how to code, but there's still a problem....

Traditional online learning is B-O-R-I-N-G, boring.

To combat the humdrum and loneliness of online courses, we want to make them more interactive.  we are taking Codecademy’s free Ruby track and making it more interactive and collaborative.

So how's this going down?

During the month of June, at lunchtime on Mondays, Wednesdays and Fridays, you can join our instructors live as they walk you through a new module each session on Codecademy’s free Ruby track.

You will get access to:

  • 11 live classroom sessions with our instructors where you can interact and ask questions,
  • a private Slack channel with likeminded people and Le Wagon instructors,
  • a one-on-one mentoring session with one of our alumni.

This series is for complete beginners and it’s free 🎁

Sounds too good to be true.  What's the catch?

At Le Wagon, we believe that anybody can learn the basics of code.  And we know that when people are learning, they’re growing 🙇🏻 And when we are growing, we are hopeful and where’s there’s hope, there’s peace of mind 😌

We also recognize that in our new reality, we have to get creative with how we interact with our community and spread the 'coding gospel'.  This is our way to stay connected with our aspiring techies ❤️

Okay, I want to join.  How does this work?

Space is limited! We want to make sure that the most engaged and motivated applicants receive a seat. In the registration process we will follow up with a short form for you to answer.

Submit your email in the form to be the first to know when the applications for our third edition are open!

-FAQ-

1) What's a "Live Class"?

We'll jump on LiveStorm (a webinar platform) where lecturers will briefly explain the key takeaways of the module of the day. Then, we'll do some Live code together! Throughout the lecture, there are teachers answering to your questions and concerns, live on the same platform.

*Live Classes will be most useful for participants who complete the Codecademy module on their own before the session.

2) What's "Slack"? What will I do there?

Slack is the communication platform we'll use to have all the members engaged and share all the info about the program. We'll use Slack to keep on communicating after each live class is over. You will have space to pose your doubts on code you've been doing, to check out other tech-events or to mingle with your fellow colleagues!

5) What will I be able to do in the end?

The objective is for participants to walk away with a more foundational understanding on what it means to code.

This is also a tool for participants who want to do our full-stack bootcamp to get super prepared before entering the demanding program.

6) What is the selection criteria to chose candidates?

In the registration form we’ll ask for your motivation.

Our goal with this program is to teach those that are in most need of new skills. Either by having been recently layed off, out of work or by needing the coding complement to their existent occupation, we aim to give out the available seats to those that are more motivated and see the potencial in this course.

We’ll also take into account candidates’ availability for live sessions, as taking part on the lessons is a great part of the learning process.
