How to apply to our Speak & Tech Academy

Gain the skills you need to start your tech career in the Netherlands in 7 months. Here is how you can get there

Online application

Apply online with a short motivation statement and info about your background and why you'd like to join the Speak & Tech Academy.

30 min informal, non-technical interview

This is your opportunity to have all of your questions answered by our Admissions team and find the most suitable financing option, and for us to find out more about your background, career goals and motivations to join.

Online technical quiz

You will then take a quiz to assess your tech knowledge and your capacity to learn in a fast paced, hands-on environment. We want to make sure that you make the most out of the bootcamp.

Payment & Prepwork

The last step will consist in finalising the payment for the course, and then you'll jump into the prepwork which consists of 40 hours of training, to get fully ready before you start the course.

Your questions answered

Web development course
You don't need any technical background to join our web development bootcamp. We expect 3 things from our students: be (extremely) motivated, be curious, be social. If this sounds like you, then we'll be more than happy to have you on board if you pass all the selection process.

Data science & AI course
The Data science & AI course requires some basic knowledge of programming and mathematics.

How much programming do I need to know?
Well, you must be comfortable with data types & variables, conditions, loops, functions and data structures like arrays and dictionaries (also called hashes in some programming languages). If you know those topics in other languages than Python (like Ruby, JavaScript, C++, etc.), you have the right programming prerequisites!
How much mathematics do I need to know?
In order to join our Data Science course, you also need a minimum level in Mathematics and to be familiar with concepts covered in high school's scientific section. We need you to be comfortable with functions, their derivatives & systems of linear equations. To get up to speed, some additional preparation work will be given to you before the bootcamp start to get a refresh of all these concepts as well as more advanced knowledge on linear algebra and statistics.

Data analytics course
The data analytics bootcamp is beginner-friendly, with no prerequisites required. What counts for us is that you’re motivated to start your new tech journey.

The Speak & Tech Academy can be financed by the Regional Mobility Teams and TechMeUp. You need to be a Dutch resident and unemployed, or at risk of losing your job, to be eligible for the RMTs. Contact us to receive more information.

This part-time bootcamp is a 7-month program, from Monday to Friday, from 6:30 pm to 9:30 pm, and Saturday, from 9:30 am to 12:30 pm. You need to be fully committed to it as it is a truly demanding experience.

You can register for Speak & Tech from outside the Netherlands, however, you won't be eligible to finance your bootcamp with our local financing options.
